about

Bloom’s Taxonomy is an electronic artist who mixes acoustic and electronic textures with his signature glitchy beats to create avant-garde soundscapes and sonic works of art

'Bitter Lake' is the title track from his EP. The track is inspired by sci-fi soundtracks and the dystopian documentaries of Adam Curtis, from which the spoken word line in the track is taken: "We live in a world where nothing makes sense, events come and go like waves of a fever, leaving us confused and uncertain." Equally, the pensive, spacey and sometimes epic production elements of the track swell like waves in and out of the listener's consciousness.

The B-Side, Kabutomushi is an experimental collage of fast sampling on a acoustic guitar and other drum noises. It was described by one listener in the following terms: "I see the schoolgirl walking through the Aokigahara at the north-eastern slope of Fuji. They call this place "A plain of blue trees". She hear all these beatles scratching and crawling in leaves under her feet,or maybe they are crawling through her mind already with help of Tengu, who are closely watching her from the very beginning. Finally she tries to awake from thus sleep, but this is not a sleep by the way. A perfect soundtrack for a good horror film."
